The Gamecock Ticket Office continues to take orders from fans who wish to attend the Independence Bowl, Carolina Manager of Ticket Operations Kent Hegenauer announced today.

The Gamecock Ticket Office has sideline tickets, priced at $35 each, and end zone tickets priced at $25, available for purchase. There is no limit to the number of tickets that can be ordered. To place an order, please call the Gamecock Ticket Office at (803) 777-4274 or (803) 4SC-FANS.

Hegenauer said that there has been some confusion to the “Priority Limits” that were stated in the 2005 Bowl Ticket application form.

“We felt it was important to re-state our Gamecock Club priority limits in the ticket application form because the forms had to be mailed prior to the bowl announcement and because we had a limited number of seats available in the high-demand sections,” said Hegenauer. “When customers called us requesting more tickets, we encouraged them to order as many as they desired. We did not turn away any orders because a Gamecock fan requested more tickets than their priority limit,” noted Hegenauer.

For those not going to the bowl game but still wishing to make a contribution, the Gamecock Ticket Office is taking ticket donations for the military stationed in the Shreveport area. Tickets donated to the military are priced at $25 each.

The 2005 Independence Bowl is set for Friday, December 30 from Independence Stadium in Shreveport, La. The Gamecocks (7-4) will face the Missouri Tigers (6-5) from the Big 12 Conference. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (2:30 p.m. CT).
