COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina women’s swim team will travel seven swimmers to the Georgia Last Chance Meet on Saturday, Feb. 25 in Athens, Ga. Scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., the Gamecocks will attempt to qualify seven women for the NCAA Championships in March.

Competing for USC this weekend is the 200 Medley Relay team of Christy Williams, Lindsey Tiberio, Haley Skaggs and Diana Lopez. Amanda Dunnigan will compete in the 400 IM, while Alyssa Cady and Mandee Cregar will also compete in a relay to try and qualify.

“Our intentions this weekend are to swim NCAA “A” standard times”, said head coach Don Gibb. “Our 200 medley relay team is close to qualifying, they are about a second off, and Amanda Dunnigan has a good shot at swimming a qualifying time in the 400 IM. We would also like to get Mandee Cregar and Alyssa Cady in there as well.”

The NCAA Championships will be held March 16-18 in Athens, Ga.
