Coach Frye, who helped lead USC to a third place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships last week, is flanked by South Carolina’s NCAA champions: Shalonda Solomon (NCAA 200m Indoor and Outdoor) and Amberly Nesbitt (NCAA 100m Outdoor). The USC women, who won the NCAA title in 2002, have been in the top 10 the last 11 straight years. Only Texas women and Arkansas men match this streak nationally.

Solomon won the 200m at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. She was also the SEC Indoor Female Athlete of the Year. Nesbitt won the NCAA Outdoor 100m – she is considered the NCAA’s fastest woman for the next year!
Both were also named to the Academic All-America District Team and have been on the Dean’s List as well. Solomon is in Nursing School and Nesbitt is studying Pre-Med and wants to study medicine.
