COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gamecock swimmer Steven Luckie won the National Aquathlon Championship in Kansas City on Thursday. The event consists of a 2.5-mile run, a one-mile swim and another 2.5-mile run. The victory qualifies Luckie for the World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland in September.

Luckie, is a native of Columbia and is a Spring Valley High School graduate.
