The South Carolina Athletics Department has tickets available for the popular “Battle of the Bands” event held prior to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl game on Dec. 29 in Memphis. The “Battle of the Bands” is the best way to get ready for the game with the Gamecock cheerleaders and The Mighty Sound Southeast battling the University of Houston. Join us as we show Memphis the pride of the Gamecock Nation.

The event, held at the Mid-South Coliseum, begins at noon and is a short walk from Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. Tickets are $30 and include all you can eat and drink. All fans wishing to attend this event must purchase a ticket prior to game day.

Special seating is available for Carolina Alumni Association members.

Tickets may be purchased at the Colonial Center Ticket Office between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. until December 20. After that date, fans are encouraged to call the Liberty Bowl office at (901) 795-9095. Tickets are also available at the Gamecock Customer Service Center in the Hawthorne Room at the Peabody Hotel from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27 and Thursday, Dec. 28.

The Gamecocks (7-5) will take on the Conference USA champion Houston Cougars (10-3) at 3:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
