AWENDAW, S.C. — The South Carolina men’s golf team remains in the 10th place at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate after shooting 294 (+10) in the second round at Bulls Bay Golf Club Tuesday. Freshman George Bryan IV and sophomore Mark Silvers both fired a one-over par 72 to pace the Gamecock effort.

South Carolina owns a two-day score of 289-294=583 (+15). The Gamecocks are currently eight strokes out of the top five teams.

UCF holds the team and individual leads. The Golden Knightsare first among the 15-team field with a score of 270-288=558 while Greg Forest sits atop the individual leader board with a score of 66-67=133.

Bryan finished the day strong by playing his second nine holes one under par. He continues to be South Carolina’s top individual, currently residing in a tie for 12th with a two-day total of 69-72=141.

Silvers registered four birdies and jumped 11 spots in the standings Monday. He is tied for 29th with a score of 73-72=145 entering Tuesday’s final round.

Junior Mark Anderson holds a share of 42nd place through two rounds. Anderson posted a 76 today to bring his two-day total to 148. Sophomore Baker Elmore fired a 74 and sits one stroke behind Anderson and tied for 50th. Classmate Allen Koon carded a 76 to put him tied for 53rd with a two-day total of 151.
