Gainesville, Fla., – In the final day of the Pepsi Florida Relays, USC won two relays, set a Florida facility record and Scott Pierce won the triple jump. USC hosts the USATF State Meet on Wed., April 11 in Columbia.

USC proved its depth is real when it went 1-2 in the women’s 4x400m relay with both relays qualifying for the NCAA regional with times of 3:31.58 and 3:37.64, respectively. The men finished as the runner-up in the same event to Florida’s men, crossing the finish line at 3:09.85.

The USC women won the 4x100m shuttle hurdle relay with a time of 53.87 – breaking the five-year old facility record set by Georgia Tech in 2002.

The men’s 4x800m relay was third at 7:38.91.

Scott Pierce won the triple jump, hitting the board at 46′ 11.

Tyler Trout followed up his runner-up performance in the discus on Friday, with a runner-up finish in the hammer, hitting 192′ 5 – a regional qualifying mark.

USC’s women were fourth in the 1600 Sprint Medley with a time of 3:55.99. The men were third in the same race at 3:26.93.

Casey Gale was sixth in the 5000m with a time of 17:42.07.
