The University of South Carolina Gamecocks are ranked 16th in this week’s Associated Press poll and 21st in the country in the USA Today/Coaches’ poll, both announced today.

The Gamecocks are 3-1 on the season, 1-1 in the Southeastern Conference, following a 28-16 loss at LSU. The Tigers from Baton Rouge remain ranked second in both major polls behind Southern California.

The Gamecocks will host SEC rival Mississippi State (3-1, 1-1 SEC) on Saturday, Sept. 29. Game time is set for 12:30 p.m. at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia. The Homecoming game will be televised throughout the Southeast, including WIS-TV in Columbia, by Lincoln Financial Sports.
