The University of South Carolina’s football game at Arkansas on Saturday, Nov. 3 will be nationally televised, the Southeastern Conference was announced today. The SEC showdown will air on either ESPN or ESPN2 beginning at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) from Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. A decision on which of network will air the game will be made on Sunday.

“We’ve been in discussions with ESPN, the University of Arkansas and the SEC offices for the past several days,” said South Carolina Athletics Director Eric Hyman. “We are very excited that things were able to be worked out and the Gamecock Nation will have the opportunity to watch this game next Saturday.”

The game was not originally selected as part of the conference’s television package announced earlier this week. However, ESPN approached the SEC about its desire to broadcast the game after television selections for that weekend were announced last Monday. The league office sought the approval of both institutions before accommodating the request.

The 15th-ranked Gamecocks (6-2, 3-2 SEC) travel to Tennessee for a battle this Saturday night with the Volunteers (4-3, 2-2 SEC) on ESPN. Game time is set for 7:45 p.m. ET. The Razorbacks (4-3, 1-3 SEC) are hosting Florida International on Saturday afternoon.
