COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina sophomore swimmer Dominique Lendjel set a new career record in the 200-yard IM on Thursday (1:47.07), finishing 29th in the event at the 2008 NCAA Championship. The meet is hosted by the University of Washington at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.
Lendjel set his new personal-best mark swimming in the preliminary round of the 200 IM on Thursday. Lendjel did not finish as one of the top nine during prelims, so he will not compete in Thursday evening’s final.
Lendjel and teammate Nicholas Walkotten will both compete on Friday. A complete schedule for both competitors is listed below.
