COLUMBIA, S.C. — Senior defensive end Jordin Lindsey has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Lindsey recorded a pair of solo tackles and also had a key interception in South Carolina’s 34-21 win against Arkansas.

After the Razorbacks had narrowed their deficit to 20-14 in the third quarter, Lindsey intercepted a Casey Dick pass and returned it 40 yards to the Arkansas 15-yard line. Two plays later, the Gamecocks were in the endzone, regaining a 13-point advantage.

South Carolina limited Arkansas to 54 rushing yards on 31 attempts.

Lindsey was also named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week for his efforts.
