  • South Carolina Captains: #11 Kenny McKinley, #14 Ryan Succop, #52 Jasper Brinkley, #78 Justin Sorensen
  • With the loss, South Carolina drops to 7-5 on the season and finishes tied for third in the SEC Eastern Division with a 4-4 conference record. The Gamecocks are now 37-65-4 all-time against the Tigers, including an 8-16-1 mark in games played in Clemson.
  • Head coach Steve Spurrier is now 170-61-2 in his 18th year overall, 28-21 in his fourth year at South Carolina. The Head Ball Coach is 2-5 all-time against Clemson, including a 1-3 mark while the head coach for the Gamecocks.
  • Senior receiver Kenny McKinley extended his streak of consecutive games with a reception to 42 with his 14-yard reception midway through the first quarter. That ranks as the longest in the SEC and among the nation’s top five. His seven receptions today equaled a season-high.
  • With his sixth catch today, McKinley became the fifth player in SEC history to record 200 catches in a career. He now stands fourth all-time in league history in that category with 201 career receptions.
  • Junior receiver Freddie Brown had a reception in the second quarter, making his first appearance since the UAB game (Sept. 27) and his first catch since the Gamecocks’ contest with Georgia (Sept. 13).
  • Sophomore fullback Patrick DiMarco scored his second career touchdown with 0:31 to play in the second quarter on a 16-yard reception from Chris Smelley.
  • Senior defensive tackle Jonathan Williams got his first sack of the season in the fourth quarter. As a team, the Gamecocks registered four sacks on the day, the sixth time this season South Carolina has recorded at least four sacks.
