The University of South Carolina has six former players attending the NFL Combine, which begins today at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Combine runs through February 24. Representing the Gamecocks are linebacker Jasper Brinkley, safety Emanuel Cook, tight end Jared Cook, wide receiver Kenny McKinley, offensive lineman Jamon Meredith and cornerback Captain Munnerlyn.
South Carolina ranks in a tie for ninth among all schools in terms of team representation at the annual event. Southern California has the most representatives with 11, while LSU is second with nine. Penn State, Georgia, Ohio State and Oklahoma will have eight apiece, while Wisconsin and Oregon will have seven each.
South Carolina will have six representatives, as will California, Cincinnati, Clemson, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska and Tennessee.
More than 300 draft prospects will take part in the week-long combine which helps NFL scouts evaluate the talent for the upcoming NFL Draft.
