COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina sophomore diver Taryn Zack has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week for the second time this year.

Zack won South Carolina’s first SEC Championship since 2006 with her victory in the one-meter diving event at the SEC Swimming and Diving Championships in Auburn, Ala., last week. Her score of 325.90 was a season best as she finished 12 points clear of the field.

Zack also took a runner-up finish in the three-meter event with a score of 360.90, only five points behind Alabama’s Carrie Dragland. For her efforts, Zack was named first-team All-SEC for the first time in her career, becoming the 10th different South Carolina swimming and diving athlete to earn a spot on the all-league squad.
