COLLEGE STATION, Texas – South Carolina diver Taryn Zack finished 22nd in the three-meter competition at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday, wrapping up her stay at the event. The sophomore turned in an 18th-place finish in the one-meter preliminaries yesterday at Texas A&M University.

The native of Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada, was unable to add to her collection of All-America certificates after missing out on the top 16 in both of her events. Her score of 289.95 was 18 points short of the needed score to grab 16th place and score points for South Carolina.

With the women’s portion of the championships concluded, South Carolina will now turn its attention to the men’s championships next week, also in College Station. Seniors Nicholas Walkotten and Kyle Cormier will swim several events in the men’s NCAA meet, which begins Thursday, March 26.
