Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina (27-14) and Clemson (27-14) conlcude this year’s series on Wednesday night at Carolina Stadium with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. The game can be seen at GamecocksOnline.com and can be heard on the Gamecock Radio Network.

Carolina has defeated the Tigers in two of three games heading into the final scheduled contest between the two schools. The Gamecocks won at Clemson, 3-1 on Feb. 28 and earned a 7-6 win on April 7 at Carolina Stadium. Clemson won on April 8 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium 7-5 in the third game of the series.

Following the conclusion of Wednesday night’s contest, the Tom Price Award and Bob Bradley Award will be presented to the respective MVP’s from South Carolina and Clemson for the series. Both Bradley and Price served as Baseball SIDs at their respective schools for decades and were important in the promotion of collegiate baseball across the state and in the country. Bradley passed away in 2000, while Price passed away on February 1, 2008.

Carolina heads into the contest coming off a 14-6 win at USC Upstate on Tuesday night. Whit Merrifield drove in a career-high five runs and had his first career grand slam in the win. Nick Ebert and Andrew Crisp also drove in three runs apiece. Senior right-hander Jay Brown picked up his third win of the year as well.
