NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The South Carolina women’s tennis team wrapped up its first tournament of the fall Sunday at the SEC Fall Coaches Classic in Nashville, Tenn.

Miljana Jocic completed a perfect weekend in singles play, dismantling Hannah Blatt from Vanderbilt in the finals of flight six 6-0, 6-0. Jocic won all three matches over the weekend in straight sets and lost a total of just eight games.

Ana Marija Zubori, ranked 29th, claimed third place in flight one with a 6-2, 6-4 victory against No. 33 Anastasia Revzina of Florida. In another third-place match-up between the Gators and Gamecocks, No. 86 Jo Mather of Florida came back to defeat No. 114 Dijana Stojic 2-6, 7-6, 6-3 in flight two.

Anna Morgina posted a 6-2, 6-4 triumph against Daniela Vukadinovic from Auburn to earn fifth place in flight four, while Adriana Pereira did likewise in beating Ole Miss’ Soledad Podlipnik 6-3, 6-0.

The Gamecocks lost a couple of third-place contests in flights five and eight. In flight five, Josefin Andersson fell 6-3, 6-3 to Jil Hastenrath from Auburn, and Rita Maisak dropped a 7-6, 4-6, 6-2 match to LSU’s Keri Frankenberger.

South Carolina returns to action next weekend at the UVa Invitational over Sept. 18-20 in Charlottesville, Va.
