The University of South Carolina Athletics Department is encouraging all fans attending the South Carolina – South Carolina State football game on Saturday, October 3, to arrive early in anticipation of heavy delays in traffic.
Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia between the Gamecocks (3-1) and Bulldogs (3-0). The contest will be televised nationally on ESPN Classic. Approximately 3,500 tickets remain for the instate battle.
Single game parking spaces are available in the Fairgrounds lot with entrance off of Rosewood Drive at Gate 12, and in the Farmer’s Market off of National Guard Road. Both lots have approximately 300 spaces available.
University-controlled parking lots will open at 2 p.m., five hours prior to game time. The Gamecock Walk will take place in the southwest corner of the stadium at approximately 4:45 p.m. Gates to Williams-Brice Stadium will open at 5 p.m. No food items are permitted in the stadium. One sealed bottle of water will be allowed. In addition, no backpacks or coolers are permitted. Williams-Brice Stadium is a tobacco-free facility.
