The University of South Carolina will travel to Tuscaloosa on Saturday, October 17 to face the Alabama Crimson Tide. Game time has been set for 7:45 p.m. ET (6:45 p.m. CT) and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN, it was announced today.
South Carolina (5-1, 2-1 SEC) will enter the game ranked 22nd in the latest USA Today/Coaches’ Poll, while Alabama (6-0, 3-0) is the nation’s third-ranked team.
The Crimson Tide lead the all-time series, 11-2, but the Gamecocks have won two of the last three meetings between the two schools. Alabama posted a 37-14 win in Columbia on September 17, 2005 in the last meeting on the gridiron, but Carolina won by a 20-3 count on October 2, 2004 the last time the two schools hooked up at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
