The South Carolina Gamecocks and Tennessee Volunteers will meet on the gridiron in Knoxville on Saturday, October 31 at 7:45 p.m. ET, it was announced today. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
The 23rd-ranked Gamecocks are 5-2 overall, 2-2 in the SEC, while Tennessee is 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the SEC. The Gamecocks will host Vanderbilt this Saturday, while Tennessee travels to undefeated Alabama.
Tennessee leads the all-time series against Carolina by a 21-4-2 margin, including a 13-1 advantage when the game is played in Knoxville. South Carolina won last year’s meeting in Columbia by a 27-6 score and the teams have split the last four games evenly. Four of the last six games have been decided by seven points or less, with two of those games going to overtime.
