Gamecock women’s soccer fever is still continuing to spread throughout Columbia after over 400 girls attended the South Carolina free clinic held March 31st at Stone Stadium.

Area girls ages 5-12 came out to Stone Stadium for the two hour clinic that involved various stations with members of the South Carolina women’s soccer team. The 2009 SEC Champions provided tips for those in attendance before playing a small-sided game for the crowd.

Following the clinic, the signed 2009 SEC Championship memorabilia for all the participants, and a raffle was also held with free prizes for the winners. The Gamecock cheerleaders and Cocky were also in attendance as younger children spent time in the Gamecock Bounce House during the clinic.

Parents were also able to sign up for the 2010 Carolina Soccer School summer camps. Early discount options were made available, and you can still sign up for the early discounts by CLICKING HERE.

South Carolina would like to thank its four food sponsors that helped make the event run off without a hitch. Firehouse Subs, Jimmy Johns, Papa Johns, Little Caesars, Publix and Which Which all donated to the cause and have been wonderful sponsors in ensuring that the group of 400-plus kids had a good time.
