Two undrafted University of South Carolina football players have signed free agent contracts with NFL teams, it was announced today.
Offensive lineman Lemuel Jeanpierre, has signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Jeanpierre, who measured 6-3 1/2 and 301 pounds at the Gamecocks’ Pro Timing Day, has played both guard and center for the Gamecocks. He made 21 career starts including 10 in the 2009 season.
Safety Darian Stewart has agreed to a free agent deal with the St. Louis Rams. Stewart, who stood 5-11 3/8 and weighed 211 pounds at the March 31 Pro Timing Day, played in 50 games over the past four season, making 36 starts. He was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game and was invited to the NFL Combine.
