COLUMBIA, S.C. – Marcus Lattimore from the Gamecock football team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Lattimore, a 6-0, 218-pounder from Duncan, S.C., earned the honor after rushing for a career-high 184 yards on 29 carries with one touchdown. He also caught two passes for 26 yards. 82 of the 184 yards came in the deciding fourth quarter after the game was tied at 24. He had a long run of 40 yards and also had a 34-yard burst. His touchdown run was his 13th TD of the season, tying the South Carolina record for freshmen, set by Sidney Rice in 2005. Lattimore has scored a touchdown in every game in which he has played this season.
