The SEC Eastern Division champion South Carolina Gamecocks returned to the Bluff Road Practice Fields Monday afternoon for their fifth of seven scheduled bowl practices in Columbia.

Head coach Steve Spurrier met with the media following practice and indicated that starting left guard Garrett Chisolm has not been ruled out for the bowl game. Chisolm has been sidelined with a right knee sprain suffered last week. Jarriel King has been taking reps at left guard in Chisolm’s absence.

The Gamecocks (9-4) are preparing for the 2010 Chick-fil-A Bowl against the Florida State Seminoles (9-4) in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome on Friday, December 31. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and the contest will be televised nationally on ESPN with Ron Franklin and Ed Cunningham in the booth and Jeannine Edwards working the sidelines.

The Gamecocks will practice next on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning before breaking camp for Christmas.
