Head Coach Ray Tanner
Opening Statement…

Very good college baseball game today. When we got to the park around noon today the wind was howling, you would think a day like today could be very difficult to make a few plays in the outfield. It could be tough on the pitchers, it ended up being a 4-3 game. And sometimes you just don’t get what you expect. I thought Colby Holmes gave us a quality start. He battled… I’ve seen him a little bit sharper than that. He didn’t walk anybody… Gave up a few hits and he had some strikeouts.

On Adrian Morales stealing…
Adrian has as much savvy about this game as anyone I’ve coached. If he sees a situation, he will capitalize. The only thing we can do is stop him, and if he sees it then it’s okay. We weren’t putting the hold on him. The rule in that situation is you have to be safe, you can’t be out… and he did a good job reading it he had a couple of pitches to read what he was going to do and he took off and got to third base with less than two outs.

On Brady Thomas’ walk-off hit…
He has a reputation of being that kind of guy. He seems to have his better at bats when the chips are down. He had one earlier today, an opportunity where they got him but you are going to get a battle and he squared up that ball pretty good. It was a tough play for the second baseman.

Brady Thomas, Catcher
On his last at bat…

I was just trying to stay short and put the ball in play. You have to give that guy credit, he had some good stuff, so I was just trying to keep it short and get the ball in play.

On being in the game winning position…
I love being in that kind of situation, I love that kind of pressure. I failed my first time up but thankfully I got a second chance.

Adrian Morales, Third Baseman
On stealing third…

He (Coach Tanner) kind of forgot about me. Tanner winked at me, and he trusts me to steal third.
