Eight former University of South Carolina football players have signed free agent contracts with NFL teams, bringing a total of 10 players from the 2010 SEC Eastern Division championship team in NFL camps this fall.
Among those signing free agent contracts are defensive tackle Ladi Ajiboye (Seattle Seahawks), offensive lineman Garrett Chisolm (Miami Dolphins), fullback Patrick DiMarco (San Diego Chargers), offensive lineman Hutch Eckerson (San Diego Chargers), wide receiver Tori Gurley (Green Bay Packers), offensive lineman Jarriel King (New York Giants), punter/placekicker Spencer Lanning (Chicago Bears), and tight end Weslye Saunders (Pittsburgh Steelers).
In addition, defensive back Chris Culliver is in the San Francisco 49ers camp after being a third round draft pick, while defensive end Cliff Matthews is with the Atlanta Falcons after being selected in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
The 2010 Gamecocks went 9-5 overall while capturing the SEC Eastern Division title for the first time in school history.
