COLUMBIA, S.C. — Members of the South Carolina women’s swimming and diving team participated in a 9/11 community service event on Saturday, remembering the tragic events from Sept. 11, 2001.

Eleven student-athletes worked the Liberty Remembers 9-11: A Decade Later fundraiser, which was held outside of Liberty Tap Room and Grill in the Vista.

The event featured a silent auction, food, live music, fire truck tours, a bounce castle and face painting. All proceeds from the fundraiser went to the First Responders Remembrance Memorial in Columbia and the Richland County Fire Department.
