The 10th-ranked University of South Carolina football team will open the home portion of its season Saturday when the Gamecocks (2-0, 1-0 SEC) host the Navy Midshipmen (2-0) at Williams-Brice Stadium. Game time is set for 6 p.m. Fans attending Carolina home games this season should note several changes from previous years:
The following items are now prohibited in Williams-Brice Stadium:
Oversized bags and purses that exceed 17″x12″x10″ (exception: diaper bags)
Video cameras, tripods and detachable camera lenses over six inches
Personal seatbacks with arm rests
Unauthorized masks of any kind
However, backpacks will be allowed in the stadium.
A reminder that alcohol is prohibited in the stands. Those with alcohol could face ejection and possible arrest.
New this season at Williams-Brice Stadium:
30 ADA/wheelchair and 30 companion seats have been added in the south end zone seating area.
There will be six (6) Guest Services located around the stadium tarmac to assist fans with questions and other game day related issues.
There is a new Under Armour merchandise location inside Gate 2.
A women’s restroom located in the East Club/Upper was added with 24 additional toilets.
The Hall of Captains (West Ground Level) will re-open. It will be available
two hours prior to kickoff until kickoff.
Early gates (4, 14,1 6, 22 and 25) will open two (2) hours before kickoff.
All other gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
The Farmer’s Market has 3,000 parking spaces, some of which can be purchased on Game Day.
The Farmer’s Market lot opens six (6) hours prior to game time. The Fairgrounds and the other controlled Athletic department lots open five (5) hours prior to game time. The Armory lot and The Fairgrounds lot close two (2) hours after the game ends. Gas grilling is permitted in the parking lots but charcoal grilling is prohibited.
A Fan Help text line has been established. Text: USC (space) issue and location to 69050. This service is operational beginning two hours prior to game time and for one hour following the contest.
For University of South Carolina students attending the game:
Come early – extra point for students who enter the stadium up to an hour before kickoff.
Students with tickets in the lower level of the stadium (sections 23-34) will receive wristbands at the entrance. Students with tickets in those sections should enter the stadium through gates 23, 25 and 26.
There are 2,100 student seats located in the upper east stands. Students who received an upper level ticket must enter through gate 18. You will not be permitted to enter the lower level seating areas.
