The University of South Carolina football squad did not move in the Associated Press poll but rose one spot in the USA TODAY/Coaches poll, it was announced today.
The Gamecocks (9-2, 6-2 SEC) remain 14th in the AP poll and climbed to No. 13 in the Coaches’ poll following their 41-20 win over The Citadel on Saturday.
The Gamecocks will begin Clemson week ranked higher than the ACC Atlantic Champion Tigers. Clemson (9-2, 6-2 ACC) slipped to No. in the AP poll and xth in the Coaches’ poll following its 37-13 loss on Saturday at NC State.
The two Palmetto State rivals will meet Saturday night in Columbia. The 7:45 p.m. kick at a sold out Williams-Brice Stadium will be televised nationally on ESPN with Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe serving as the announce team.
