COLUMBIA, S.C. — Junior diver Rylan Ridenour from the Gamecock men’s swimming and diving team has been named the AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Ridenour had a record-breaking performance on the boards to lead the Gamecocks to a convincing win over East Carolina in the regular season finale. The Lebanon, Ind., native set the school record on the men’s three-meter springboard with a score of 427.43, which was 149.43 points ahead of East Carolina’s highest score. Ridenour’s score broke former South Carolina standout Andy Bradley’s record of 407.40, which was set in 2005. Ridenour also won the one-meter competition with a score of 382.58.
