“FanFest” presented by the Gamecock Club returns to the annual Garnet and Black spring game for its second year on Saturday, April 14. Gamecock fans of all ages will be able to participate in activities around the stadium prior to the game and on the field of Williams-Brice Stadium following the game.
Gamecock fans will be allowed on the field through multiple field gates approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the Garnet and Black Game and Coach Spurrier’s presentation of awards.
“We had a ton of fantastic feedback following the event last year so we wanted to improve on it and bring it back,” said the Director of the Gamecock Club Patrick McFarland. “After the most successful season in Carolina football history we are all extremely excited about 2012.”
The Garnet & Black Spring Game will begin at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
In addition to the previously mentioned activities and attractions, there will also be a 32-team cornhole tournament, the release of the official 2012 football poster, and a pregame kids’ event where select Gamecock players and staff will give motivational speeches.
