COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Southeastern Conference announced its women’s tennis conference schedule for the 2013 season Wednesday. South Carolina will open league play at conference newcomer Texas A&M on March 1 and then travel to face the league’s other newest member Missouri on March 3.

The Gamecocks have seven SEC matches scheduled on the road and six at Carolina Tennis Center. After South Carolina’s opening weekend at Texas A&M and Missouri, the Gamecocks head to Gainesville, Fla., to face Florida on March 8. With a bye on March 10, South Carolina hosts four straight homes matches versus Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn and Alabama. Carolina also has home matches with Mississippi State and Ole Miss while facing Arkansas, LSU, Vanderbilt and Kentucky on the road.
