The University of South Carolina football team slipped in the national polls released on Sunday.

The Gamecocks (9-2, 6-2 SEC) fell from ninth to 12th in the BCS Standings, from 12th to 13th in the Associated Press poll and from 11th to 12th in the USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches polls, all released today. The Gamecocks are coming off a 24-7 win over Wofford on Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.

The Gamecocks will travel to Clemson (10-1, 7-1 ACC) on Saturday to wrap up their regular season with the annual Palmetto State Showdown. Clemson will enter the contest ranked 11th in the BCS Standings, 12th in the AP poll and ninth in the coaches’ poll.

The Gamecocks have defeated the No. 3 team (Georgia) in the BCS Standings and have lost to the No. 4 (Florida) and No. 7 (LSU) teams. Clemson has faced one team in the BCS Standings, losing to No. 10 Florida State.

Game time is set for 7 p.m. ET from Clemson Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN with Joe Tessitore and Matt Millen in the booth and Shannon Spake working the sidelines.
