April 12, 2013

The football program gathered Friday night on the eve of the Garnet & Black Spring Game to celebrate the 2012 season and the senior class, including receiving their Outback Bowl rings.

Attendees filled The Zone at Williams-Brice Stadium for the event led by Jerri Spurrier and several football parents. Head coach Steve Spurrier kicked off the program by recognizing several Gamecock parents for their contributions to the program. Each senior was called to the front to receive a special shadowbox featuring a Gamecock helmet, his photo, and a nameplate. Spurrier recalled highlights from the 2012 season and wrapped up the program with the entire room participating in singing the Carolina alma mater.
