COLUMBIA, S.C. – Single-game tickets for the 2013 South Carolina football season opener against North Carolina, set for this Thursday at Williams-Brice Stadium, are sold out. This is the third contest this season that has sold out for Gamecock football, joining the Florida (Nov. 16) and Clemson (Nov. 30) games. This is the first time since 2005 that three Carolina home games have sold out prior to the start of the season.

Tickets are still available for South Carolina’s remaining home games, versus Vanderbilt (Sept. 14), Kentucky (Oct. 5), Mississippi State (Nov. 2) and Coastal Carolina (Nov. 23). Tickets can be purchased by calling (800) 4SC-FANS, or by visiting GamecocksOnline.com/Football2013.

The Gamecocks are ranked No. 7 in the USA Today Sports Top 25 preseason coaches poll and No. 6 according to the preseason poll released by the Associated Press entering the 2013 campaign.

South Carolina finished the 2012 season with an 11-2 record for the second-straight year. They were ranked seventh in the final Coaches’ poll, their highest finish in school history.

Thursday’s contest vs. North Carolina kicks off at 6 p.m. ET, and will be televised on ESPN.
