Following a 41-30 setback at Georgia, the South Carolina Gamecocks slipped in both national polls released today.
The Gamecocks (1-1, 0-1 SEC) check in as the No. 13 team in the Associated Press poll and are ranked 14th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll. The Gamecocks had been ranked sixth in both polls prior to Saturday’s setback.
Alabama (1-0) continues to sit atop both polls. Texas A&M (6/6), LSU (8/8) and Georgia (9/10) give the SEC four of the top 10 teams in both polls.
The Gamecocks will host Vanderbilt (1-1, 0-1 SEC) on Saturday, September 14, at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia. The SEC Eastern Division matchup will be televised nationally on ESPN. Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge will have the call with Holly Rowe working the sidelines.
