The University of South Carolina football team moved up one notch in both national polls released today.

The Gamecocks (2-1, 1-1 SEC) are ranked 12th in this week’s Associated Press poll and are No. 13 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll.

Carolina is coming off a 35-25 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday night. The Gamecocks will have next week off before traveling to Orlando to face UCF on Saturday, September 28. UCF (3-0) is receiving votes in both polls this week following its 34-31 win at Penn State on Saturday.

Alabama (2-0) continues to lead both polls with all but one of the first-place votes. Oregon (3-0) received the other first place vote and is ranked second in both polls. Ohio State, Clemson and Stanford round out the top five in both polls.

The SEC continues to boast four teams among the nation’s top 10. Joining Alabama in both polls’ top-10 are LSU, Georgia and Texas A&M.
