The South Carolina – Mississippi State football game, set for Saturday, November 2, has been sold out, the Gamecock Athletics Ticket Office announced today.
This will mark the fourth sellout in as many home games this season for the Gamecocks. In addition, the Florida game, set for Saturday, November 16, and the Clemson game, scheduled for Saturday, November 30, have already been sold out, giving Carolina six sellouts in one season, the most since 1981.
Playing in the 80,250-seat Williams-Brice Stadium, the Gamecocks rank 14th in the country in average attendance at 81,752. In addition, Carolina ranks second in the SEC and 11th in the nation in capacity of the stadium filled at 101.87 percent.
The No. 14/16 Gamecocks (6-2, 4-2 SEC) are riding a 14-game home winning streak, one shy of the school record 15, set from 1978-80.
Saturday’s game is set for 12:21 p.m. ET and will be televised by SEC TV. Dave Neal and Andre Ware will be in the booth with Cara Capuano working the sidelines.
Tickets remain on sale for the first-ever matchup between South Carolina and Coastal Carolina, set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 23.
