CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The South Carolina women’s tennis team finished its fall season Sunday at the Kitty Harrison Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.

The Gamecocks won a pair of singles matches on the final day of the event playing six contests against Virginia Tech. Elixane Lechemia picked up her second win in as many days against a ranked opponent with a 6-2, 3-6, (10-8) triumph over No. 112 Ilinca Stoica. Caroline Dailey snagged Carolina’s other win, defeating Kelly Williford in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, (10-6).

South Carolina will open the spring season Jan. 18 hosting a doubleheader against East Tennessee State and College of Charleston.
