COLUMBIA, S.C. –
South Carolina is ranked No. 8 in the two major polls released on Sunday afternoon. The Gamecocks have been ranked for a school record 63 consecutive weeks in the A.P. Top-25, tying for the fifth longest streak in the nation with Stanford, behind only Alabama, LSU, Oregon and Oklahoma.

South Carolina is 10-2 on the year with a 6-2 record in SEC play. The Gamecocks await word on a bowl destination that will be announced later this evening.
