Pro Timing Day Set for April 2

March 17, 2014

The South Carolina football program will hold its annual Pro Timing Day at Williams-Brice Stadium on Wednesday, April 2, when draft-eligible Gamecock players are scheduled to work out for NFL coaches and scouts.

Viewing for the on-field portion of the event, which will begin at approximately 11 a.m., is open to the public with free admission. Fans can enter the stadium through Gate 4 on the west (Bluff Road) side of the stadium beginning at 10 a.m. and sit in the west stands (behind the Gamecocks’ sideline). Fans are reminded that no video cameras are allowed.

Credentials will be required for all media members attending the event. Those requesting credentials should contact Steve Fink, Assistant AD/Media Relations, at finksc@mailbox.sc.edu. All media members will check in at Gate 26 on the north side of the stadium (videoboard side off George Rogers Blvd.) beginning at 10 a.m. Credentialed photographers and videographers will be allowed to shoot the workout from the east sideline. Media can watch the workout either from field level in the north end zone, along the east sidelines or from the west stands. All media interviews will be conducted in the northeast corner of the stadium after the players complete their workouts.

Others requiring a credential (NFL representatives, University of South Carolina staff members, current and former University of South Carolina football players) should enter the stadium through Gate 12 in the southwest corner, near the Gamecocks’ locker room, to obtain field access. That gate will open at 8 a.m. Agents and family members will not be allowed on the field. They should enter through Gate 4 on the west side of the stadium and sit in the west stands.

Parking will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis on the Williams-Brice Stadium surface lot. Media members are encouraged to park in the northwest corner of the stadium.

Should inclement weather arise, the field activities will be moved to the indoor practice facility. Due to space limitations, that workout would not be open to the general public, agents or families. Parking would be available in the Athletics Village Garage, located at 1300 Heyward Street, across from the Stone Stadium soccer facility.
