Football Practice Resumes Today

The South Carolina Gamecock football team returns to practice this afternoon at 4:15 p.m. The practice has been moved to the indoor facility. This is the second of the allotted 15 spring practices. Today’s practice is closed to the media and to the public.

The Gamecocks are also slated to practice on Thursday and Friday at the Bluff Road practice fields, beginning at 4:15 p.m. In addition, the team will practice on Saturday morning, beginning at 10 a.m. in the stadium.

Persons with cameras will be permitted to shoot the first 30 minutes of each practice only. After that, no still or video photography will be allowed during the practice sessions without prior consent from the Athletics Media Relations department. Players will not be available for autographs before, during or after the practice sessions. In addition, pets are not permitted on the practice fields. All fans and media attending the practice sessions must stay behind the yellow rope.

Former South Carolina football players who are currently in the NFL have been invited back for the weekend. The players will attend practice on Friday and Saturday. Media members are invited to attend Friday’s dinner at Seawell’s, beginning at 7:15 p.m. The dinner is not open to the public.
