EUGENE, Ore. – Rising sophomore Mollie Williams (100-meter hurdles) and incoming freshman Isaiah Moore (110-meter hurdles) both advanced to tomorrow’s event finals at the 2014 USA Track & Field Junior Outdoor Championships at Heyward Field.

In the women’s 100-meter hurdles, Williams qualified for tomorrow’s final as she finished eighth overall with a time of 13.76 (+2.4). She placed fourth in the second heat. Her final is slated to start at 7:15 p.m. ET.

Moore clocked a time of 13:41 (+1.3) in the men’s 110-meter hurdles as he placed second overall and in his heat. He finished two one-hundredths of a second out of the top spot. Tomorrow’s event final is scheduled for 7:25 p.m.

Josh Awotunde finished fourth in the discus by landing a mark of 191’6″ (58.37m) on his first throw of the competition. The freshman’s throw was just over six feet further than last year when he finished fifth at the championships.

Awotunde will continue his weekend tomorrow as he competes in the shot put at 7 p.m.

Rising sophomore Natasha Dicks ended the night for the Gamecocks as she placed eighth in the women’s triple jump. She recorded her top mark of 40’3 ½” (12.28m) on her second attempt.
