COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina swimming and diving head coach McGee Moody announced his team’s 2014-15 schedule on Monday, which includes five home meets at the Blatt P.E. Center/Carolina Natatorium.
The Gamecocks open the season with a pair of road meets, beginning with SEC foe Kentucky on Oct. 11 and then traveling to Atlanta, Ga. on Oct. 17 to face Georgia Tech and the Notre Dame women.
The home opener is slated for Oct. 31 as the women take on Florida Gulf Coast. The following week on Nov. 11, the Gamecocks will compete in a tri-meet, hosting East Carolina and College of Charleston.
Carolina closes out the fall season at the Virginia Tech Invitational on Nov. 20-22 in Blacksburg, Va.
The second of four SEC opponents is on the schedule to open the spring, as the Gamecocks will host Georgia on Jan. 3. South Carolina then travels to Durham, N.C. on Jan. 10 to take on Duke and Harvard.
South Carolina will host Missouri on Jan. 17, marking the first meeting between the two since Missouri joined the SEC and the Gamecocks close out the regular season at home, versus Vanderbilt, Queens and Wingate in a two-session meet on Jan. 23-24.
Auburn will host the 2015 SEC Championships Feb. 17-21 in Auburn, Ala. On March 10-12, Carolina’s qualified divers will head to Athens, Ga. for the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships. The NCAA Women’s Championship is set for March 19-21 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C., while the NCAA Men’s Championship will be held in Iowa City, Iowa on March 26-28 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.
