IRVINE, Calif –

Incoming freshman Bryce Kananowicz, Traivs Morrin and Tomas Peribonio competed last week in the 2014 Speedo Junior National Championships. The event ran July 30-August 3 at the William Wollett, Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif.

Kananowicz, a native of Couer d’Alene, Idaho logged his highest finish in the men’s 200 IM as he placed 56th with a time of 2:08.93. He also competed in the men’s 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly. Morrin’s best finish was in the 1500 freestyle, as he placed 59th with a time of 16:32.28.  The Mt. Pleasant, S.C. native also competed in the men’s 400 and 800 freestyle events. Peribonio’s performance was highlighted by an eighth place finish in the A-final of the men’s 400 IM. The Atlanta, Ga. Native competed in a total of five individual events and was a part of two relay teams.
