Stevi Parker from the South Carolina women’s soccer team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

A defensive midfielder, Parker booted the game-winner in the 100th minute of No. 14 South Carolina’s 2-1 SEC-opening win at Auburn on Sunday. The golden goal came on a rebound after South Carolina’s fourth corner kick of the overtime period. Parker, who has played nearly every minute of the season, also set up the Gamecocks’ first goal by playing a long ball to Savannah McCaskill. McCaskill drew a foul in the boxleading to a penalty kick that Sophie Groff converted.
