The offensive highlights came from senior Sarah Mooney and junior Alaynie Page, who tallied home runs in the victory. Page’s blast drove in three, capping the first-inning explosion that saw the Gamecocks send 13 batters to the plate.

Redshirt senior pitcher Julie Sarratt pitched a perfect three innings in the start, fanning two. The Cougars pushed three runs across in the fourth without a hit. Freshman Hayley Copeland posted a 1-2-3 fifth as part of her two innings of work.

Ten different Gamecocks had hits in the contest, with sophomore Macey Webb picking up two off the bench to join Sarratt’s two.
