Al Harris Jr.
University of South Carolina freshman cornerback Al Harris Jr. has been selected by the league’s 14 coaches to the SEC All-Freshman squad, it was announced today.
Harris, a 5-11, 162-pounder from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., played in 11 games, making four starts at cornerback. He logged 19 tackles and broke up three passes. He earned the start in the season opener against Texas A&M, joining linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams as the first true freshmen to start as season opener since Jadeveon Clowney. He was credited with five tackles and pass breakup in that contes. He matched that performance with five tackles and a pass break up at Kentucky.
