Sept. 14, 2015
South Carolina will host UCF at noon on Saturday, September 26, it was announced by the SEC today as the conference office released the TV selections and game times for that week.
The Gamecocks and Knights will play on either ESPNU or ESPN2 with that decision coming after the games of September 19 are played.
The Gamecocks have defeated the Knights in all four previous meetings, with the first three coming in Columbia, and the last one in Orlando. Carolina posted wins by scores of 33-14 and 35-31 in 1996 and ‘97, then won by a 24-15 score in 2005 in head coach Steve Spurrier’s debut as the Carolina head coach. The last meeting came in the 2013 season when the Gamecocks escaped Orlando with a 28-25 win. That turned out to be the only blemish on the Knights’ record that season, as they went 12-1 including a Fiesta Bowl win over Baylor.
