The LSU vs. South Carolina football game, which has been moved to Baton Rouge in the aftermath of flooding in the Columbia, S.C., area, will be played on ESPN at 2:30 pm CT / 3:30 pm ET on Saturday, it was announced Thursday.

“I appreciate the spirit of cooperation between LSU and South Carolina to make an appropriate adjustment for the game location in this time of difficulty,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said. “Our prayers and concerns continue to be with people throughout the entire state of South Carolina whose lives have been dramatically impacted by this devastating weather event.”

The move of the game to LSU’s Tiger Stadium was announced Wednesday. It was originally scheduled to be played at 11 am CT / Noon ET at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.

“To change the location of an SEC football game does not come without the cooperation and collaboration of our institutions, their support systems and our media partners,” said Sankey. “South Carolina President Harris Pastides and Athletics Director Ray Tanner, as well as LSU President/Chancellor King Alexander and Vice Chancellor and Athletic Directors Joe Alleva have been tremendous to work with in this situation. Our partners at ESPN and CBS played a critical role in adapting to permit this game to be played at a time most beneficial to both institutions and fans given the circumstances.”

The game will be considered a home game for South Carolina with game management executed by LSU.
